HP, Epson and Others Make Waves at DIMA 2009Published on May 27th, 2009 Posted by Taeho Lim in News
Last year, we noted the industry-wide acclaim for images printed with HP and Epson products at the 2008 DIMA Printer Shootout. Defending champs can find it tough to repeat with the targets on their backs, but the two companies made strong showings once again at the recently completed 2009 DIMA Printer Shootout. Besides the aforementioned incumbents, Xerox and Canon products also made their presence felt in the winners’ circle. Some highlights from the list of honorees:
In a repeat of ’08, Epson Stylus Pro printers rolled out the top entries for inkjet prints 9”-49” wide.
HP Photosmart printers produced the top inkjet prints 8.5” wide or less, with the HP Photosmart C8180, Photosmart D7560 and Photosmart D5460 prevailing in the $200+, $100-$199, and $99 or less categories, respectively.
The HP Photosmart A636 Photo Printer produced the top inkjet print 5”x7” or less.
Finally, the Canon PIXMA MP980 rolled out the best Black and White print with grayscale inks.
So overall, the 2009 DIMA Printer Shootout proved to be a rewarding event for some of the industry’s top printer makers. Consider these winning models highly recommended if you’re making prints that match the listed categories.
